With its warm weather, mountainous landscapes and picturesque ocean views, Cabo San Lucas has become a golfer’s paradise. What was once known primarily as a fishing town has now become a haven for golf enthusiasts, with world-class courses designed by some of the top names in the sport’s history. Here are a few tips to keep in mind if you are planning a golf-based vacation to the Baja Peninsula.
Prepare Your Equipment
Clean out your golf club bag and choose which clubs you want to travel with. Remove any mud and grit and pack all your golf accessories in your golf bag. Use a sturdy bag so that your clubs do not get damaged.
Pack extra socks and change at every round. You want to take care of your feet especially in the hot weather of Los Cabos. Don’t pack extra golf shirts. You will probably buy some in town. Make sure to put your name in indestructible plastic business card holders on your bag with your contact information, just in case they get lost. Make sure to include your email address and cell phone number, but avoid using your home address or home number. Pack extra towels on around the heads of your golf clubs so that they do not get damaged. Bring a change of clothes for each round of golf you plan on playing.
Check The Weather
Make sure you check the weather forecast so you know what to expect. You’ll want to know if there is expected rainfall so you can pack accordingly.
